Saruhashi Bridge
One of Japan's Three Unusual Bridges, Saruhashi Bridge has been painted by famous artists like Hiroshige and Jippensha Ikku. Its rare construction devoid of trestles is said to have been inspired by the way monkeys grasp each other's hands to span and cross a gorge.
