Hassaku Festival
Considered one of the three major festivals of the Gunnai region in eastern Yamanashi Prefecture, the Hassaku Festival (called O-Hassaku by the locals) is the autumn festival held each year at Oide Shrine on the 1st of September. In addition to its colorfully decorated festival floats and lion's dance, it is known for its elaborate daimyo (feudal lord) procession reenacted in period regalia.
