Tourinken
After losing his Edo home in a massive city-wide fire in 1682, the haiku poet Matsuo Basho visited Yamura at the invitation of one of his haiku disciples, Takayama Den'emon, and is said to have stayed there for about half a year at the Tourinken. The present building is a recreation of the built by volunteer city residents.
