Tengu-yaki are bean-filled waffle treats shaped like the head of the tengu spirits Mt. Takao has long been associated with and are a must-try part of a visit. Crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside with a mildly sweet black bean paste, it's an all-time favorite for eating as you hike up the mountain.
